Making art is, for me, a form of meditation that allows me to feel connected to my environment.

I believe that by slowing down and carefully observing our environment, we will feel less isolated and more connected to the world around us.

Through my art, I want to highlight the beauty and complexity of local ecosystems and help audiences recognize their role in preserving them.

I especially enjoy detailing collections of small, life-size subjects that represent a larger ecological system.

In order for a species to exist, countless interconnected networks and food webs are necessary.

I could stare at a specimen for what feels like forever, noticing more details the longer I look.

I hope my fascination comes through in my art and inspires others to fall in love with the world around us as I have done.
