I feel deeply connected to my community in Richmond, and I welcome opportunities to use my love for nature and art to support local initiatives.

Fonticello Food Forest

Fonticello Food Forest is a community garden in Richmond. I joined other artists recruited by the Feminist Bird Club of Richmond to paint panels for the picnic tables in the garden. I chose to illustrate one of my favorite birds, the crow.

On the Square

On the Square is an employee engagement program for state government workers. Each year, I offer a nature journaling class to state employees during the lunch hour. All levels of experience are welcome.

Southside ReLeaf

Southside ReLeaf is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making Southside Richmond a greener, healthier, and more connected community by addressing environmental injustices and advocating for equitable green spaces. A portion of all sales through this website is donated to Southside ReLeaf to support this work.

Virginia Master Naturalists

Virginia Master Naturalists are volunteer educators, citizen scientists, and stewards helping Virginia conserve and manage natural resources and public lands. I am an active member of my local Naturalist Chapter, where I lead the Vernal Pool Monitoring Project, edit the Quarterly Newsletter, and donate art pieces as door prizes to increase engagement.
